Exported From Michigan

Jon Vander Pol and the Pine Drive Pictures filmmaking team made the award winning documentary, Exported From Michigan, which won best documentary at the Beverly Hills, Princeton and Waterfront Film Festivals. It also won the popular vote for documentary film at the world-renowned ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, MI.

The central narrative in Exported From Michigan is the University of Michigan solar car team racing across the Australian outback in the 2013 World Solar Challenge. This film about Michigan’s comeback story also explores art, craft beer, urban farming and hybrid electric autos.
